Find My Apple Pencil: How to Find a Lost Apple Pencil
To find a lost Apple Pencil Pro, open Find My on your iPad, choose Devices, then Apple Pencil Pro and follow the prompts. Other Pencil models do not have that Find My feature. Search where you last used the iPad; a BLE scan is only an extra clue if the Pencil is currently advertising.
Before you start
Identify the Pencil model before choosing a search method.
For Pencil Pro, use the Apple Account to which it was added in Find My.
Keep the paired iPad available and check its present connection state, without unpairing the missing Pencil.
Search step by step
For Pencil Pro, try Find My first. For other models, start beside the iPad, desk, keyboard case and bag.
A current connection on the paired iPad can be a nearby clue, not an exact location. An old entry in Settings does not prove proximity.
If trying Bluetooth Finder on iPhone, look for a plausible live entry. No entry means the scan cannot guide this search.
Compare several readings as you move, then check creases, magnetic attachments and gaps around the stronger area.
Start with a Bluetooth scan.
Open Bluetooth Finder, choose a likely device and move slowly. A rising signal is a useful clue that you are getting closer.

What if Apple Pencil Pro is missing from Find My?
Check the Apple Account used when the Pencil Pro was added. Apple allows it to be added to one account at a time. If it was never added, a missing Pencil cannot be set up remotely. Search the last workspace and bag; do not remove it from an account or unpair it just to try a BLE scan.
If there is no live signal
Search the last-used workspace and bags by hand. A discharged Pencil cannot supply a live BLE signal. If you recover it but it will not connect, then charge and pair it using the model-specific Apple instructions.
